final project. i would live in this house if there hadn't been a 1st floor. meaning, i only liked the 2nd floor. the painting was once again, ruined.

Zoukei - The Movements of an Object - The Dustcloth
first assignment = not a failure, but could be better.. the theme was to imagine and portray all kinds of movements that a certain object can have. eg spin, twist, sway, etc...

Zoukei - A Small Journey
this is an abstract theme. we were to use any materials of our choice to build a model representing "journey", and let another person decipher during the presentation.

Zoukei - The Vomiting Kitty
the theme was supposed to be "build something which represents your image of Tokyo". our group consists of unique members, you see. so we decided to make something difficult and funky. we started with Totoro, and then switched to Hello Kitty because it was more famous? (our teacher's from Holland and we doubted he knows Totoro)

how to read this work of art: Hello Kitty lives in a very busy city (Tokyo). even though the city has a lot of pretty and good sides, there were many conflicts and problems too. Kitty is stressed out because of various problems she's facing - socialising, love life, study stress, financial problem, stalker, etc... she tries to act happy and ignore the stress, but eventually she's overwhelmed, and vomits out the stress in the form of black liquid. the liquid spreads out and forms the outline of Tokyo.
